Today, the conference "Internal Displacement: 20 years of Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement" is being conducted under the auspice of UNHCR. The conference is attended by the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons, Ms. Sesilia Jimenes - Damari. She stressed the importance of the Action Plan GP20 which was approved by the UN. Ms. Special Rapporteur stressed the challenges of protracted displacement, including displacement in Georgia. During the debates, representative of IDP Women Association "Consent" stressed that UNSC Resolution 1325 and rights of IDP/conflict affected women should be more included in plans and activities of the Ministry, as well as the reform of IDP allowance should be dealt very carefully.
